Baja Gray Whale Retreat
February 23-March 1, 2025
7 days and 6 nights during the New Moon!
Welcome!! When you said ‘yes’ to this retreat, you have already started connecting with the whales and Cetaceans of Baja at a quantum and subconscious level. You will be offered the opportunity to learn basic animal communication so you can start ‘talking’ to them before, during and after the retreat.
There will be 2 online video chats with participants in November and January to continue the process of actively connecting with these beings before arriving in Baja.
Everyone is offered a private session with Jeanne to explore a goal, hope or intention for their healing, wellness or inspiration before the trip. Jeanne will there to provide support for whatever comes up for you when meeting these beings up close (hopefully!) as it is a very emotional and/or spiritual experience for most.
You will learn the story of forgiveness and redemption the gray whales have offered humanity and be encouraged to explore these themes in your own life, as well as the power of joy, F.U.N. and play! F.U.N. is a Fundamental Universal NEED, not a luxury!
A goal of mine is to have each trip be an opportunity to raise the JOY vibration on the planet and see how you can bring that into your everyday life, as well as support the wonderful beings that give us such an opportunity to connect with their magical and mysterious lives.
The whales are our example and my hope is that we will emulate what they are here to teach us. This experience can bring up unexpected, (sometimes welcome, sometimes surprising) emotions and impulses. Be open to owning what is happening FOR you and discuss it with me or someone else if you are feeling challenged! Remember, what you are feeling or thinking is about YOU, not anyone else. Own it, embrace it and you will more easily be able to go with the FLOW!

*Double occupancy in the hotel in Loreto is provided in the current cost for the retreat. If you register at least 6 months in advance you may be able to get a room for yourself. A single hotel room for 3 nights costs an additional $554 at least (over and above the current retreat cost) IF I can negotiate the same price for an additional room and there is an uneven number of people on the retreat (I will share a room if needed).
**The villa in Guerrero Negro has 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths. All rooms are en suite. One room has 2 single beds. All other rooms have King, Queen or double beds. The largest King and Queen rooms have a separate, pull-out sofa beds that will be utilized by another person (if there is not a couple or family using the room).
It is conceivable that a single participant will be able to have a room to themselves in the villa. This will result in an extra $100 charge but will only be known when the registration closes based on the number and configuration of participants (solo, couples, families, etc.). Please specify if you would like this option if it becomes available.
Everyone will have their own bed (unless they want to share) but please understand that, other than 1 room with 2 single beds, most rooms have a main bed and then a pull-out sofa/couch. We will make sure everyone is comfortable!
Please specify on your registration form if you are bringing a friend or are part of a couple or family when registering or as soon as possible.
What’s NOT included:
Transportation to and from Loreto, Baja, Mexico. Please arrange your transportation WELL IN ADVANCE as airlines will book up.
Transportation cost from Loreto airport to and from La Mision Hotel--$14 each way. This transportation has been reserved for you. You pay at the hotel when you arrive. Arrangements will be made with the hotel to pick you up at the airport when you have your plane reservations.
Breakfasts at La Mision Hotel—very reasonably priced meals are available at the hotel (approximately $15 or less). We will not likely have time to find other restaurants for breakfast given our whale tour schedule but it’s up to you how early you want to get up and wander around.
Dinners when staying at La Mision Hotel—very reasonably priced meals are available nearby in Loreto and the hotel provides excellent meals.
Lunch in San Ignacio town, again very reasonably price restaurant.
Snacks or extra food. Light breakfasts on whale tour days are provided but they are light to make sure you don’t have any sea sickness issues if the sea is bouncy due to wind. There are small markets near the villa.
Staff, hotel, restaurant, trip guides, etc. tips. Mexico is a tip based economy that the service personnel rely on. Bring pesos or dollars for tipping, meals, food, hotel, etc. Paying in the local currency will typically provide a better price depending on your bank and ATM policies. Do NOT rely on places in Guerrero Negro or Ojo de Liebre to accept credit cards.
Travel and health insurance is HIGHLY recommended.
Planned Itinerary (subject to change)
All participation in all retreat activities is of course voluntary. I ask that you come with an open mind, an open heart and willingness to meet and learn about others who may be very different from you. Listening to others, kindness and compassionate behavior is asked for at ALL times as we become a cohesive, fun-loving group this way. Basically, the rules of kindergarten apply!
Each day in the morning, we will meet and select an intention word for the day and perhaps have a bit of movement to wake up and greet our body and the day.
Most evenings or afternoons we will meet to share any dreams, hopes and experiences you have had with the whales or other beings. There will be time for peace and quiet to integrate your experiences.
We will also have a playshop or other activities to enhance and deepen your experience with yourself, each other and the whales. We may have the option of yoga or other movement and/or dance or other self-expression. Be open and curious!

Blue whales are only in the area a couple of months a year so it is a really special opportunity to see them from a small boat and connect with their amazing huge vibrational energy.
There is also the possibility of seeing and feeling the energy of Humpbacks and Fin whales, dolphins and sea lions! If we are really lucky, there are sometimes Orca in the area!
Time to rest and relax as you integrate and meditate on what you have experienced from these Cetaceans.
Stay over at La Mision hotel. Last dinner together to celebrate our new pod (not included in trip cost)!
Saturday, March 1st—Saying goodbye and aloha to our new podmates.
Big blessings and integrations will continue to arise from our encounters with the whales, ourselves and each other.
